Just prior to Xmas you will have received a notice letter from WBC regarding a proposed common land swap. The consultation period has NOW been extended until 21 January 2010 and you will receive a letter shortly. The letter from WBC is attached below:

The Open Spaces Society (OSS) have published a press release concerning the recent decision by the Planning inspectorate to refuse the common land swap proposed by Woking Borough Council. The press release can be found here: http://www.oss.org.uk/westfield-common-woking-saved-from-degradation/

The Planning Inspectorate has refused permission for the common land exchange requested by Woking Borough Council in order to create a road access to the proposed housing development into the farm land north of Moor Lane. We have obtained an official entry for Westfield Common (CL 121) from the statutory register required by the Commons Registration Act.
